Saurus, Centaur and Rose weapons/armour levels changed

"The following combat level requirements have been changed for wearing armour/weapons:

Saurus armour: level 40 defence to wear.

Centaur armour/weapons: level 30 defence/attack to wear.

Rose armour/weapons: level 15 defence/attack to wear.

These levels should have been 45, 35 and 15, but due to a bug they were all 0. They have been changed to 40, 30 and 15 to make this change more reasonable. I hope you will all understand it's better this way.

Everyone who is currently wearing one of these items but does not meet the level requirement can keep wearing it(!), but if they try to equip it again they DO need the level requirement."

Suprising that this 'bug' wasnt noticed before.....

The bottom line here is, dont remove any of these items if you don't have the level to re-equip it!!

Frog contest is over

Frog catching competition!

A competetion is underway at singing river!

Here was the build up to the competition being announced:

"The citizens of The singing river started a contest: The one to collect the best Frog will be payed 2500 gold.The second and thirth best entries will be payed out 1250 and 833 gold.The contest ends in 6 hours."

When you submit a frog, the judge tell you you the size, for example: Your Frog was 81.9 Pound !

Thieving and burn rates

There seems to be little information in the wild about what burn rates are for cooking various fish at certain levels. The same goes for what you price items you can steal at the different thieving levels along with the success/failure rates.

While there is no exact figures for both of these, I am working towards a mini guide to give people a rough idea of what to expect. I have some info already but the guide would get here quicker with a little input from you guys and girls.

If you add a comment with your cooking level, how many fish you started off with and how man you ended up with both cooked and burnt, it would be appreciated. You must have stayed the same cooking level at the start of cooking and at the end for these figures to be useful.

Thieving info is also helpfull. For example, I am a level 18 in this skill and know I can steal 2gp items 9 times out of 10. 6gp items I am succesfull on average 6 times out of 10.

Syrnia back up

After a short downtime, syrnia is working again. An explanation given in world chat was that it was to fix a few bugs.

Currently there is no posts on syrnia's news page or dw-hq as to what the bug fixes are, so we will have to just keep guessing. I for one hope that the Battlemage arena is fixed.

Hopefully clan chat history will also be re-enabled as it was extremely useful.

Syrnia currently down for maintenance

From the main syrnia page:

news. We will provide an estimated downtime if possible."

Apparently a warning was given in chat a few minutes before syrnia was taken down. Celebrations are said to have happened around the world as advance warnings are so rare!

New lizard items

The lizard men and women of syrnia now drop some of their equipment upon their death if you are lucky.

1. A machette which woodcutters of level 25 and above can use.


2. Headdress which can be worn from level 1 combat


3. Two handed spear, also usable form level 1 combat

Protection against Syrnian thiefs

Well, just one theif in particular, who's name won't be mentioned.....canasian...oooops :D
To suprise any future potential theif attempts an elite ankle snapper has been employed.

Let me introduce Ruby, my new puppy!!

As you can see by the picture she is strong enough to move a sofa 30 times bigger than herself, so dont let her cuteness fool you!

Her stats are as follows:

• Strength 188 (Watch out KoolKitty/KK!!)


• Health 99 (she is only a pupp after all)


• Attack 250 (those puppy teeth are sharp)


• Defence 130 (hard to hit something so small)


• Lick'ability 350 (she could lick you to death within 30 seconds)
