[~SaS~][Zen][Pond][-TL-] PACT - POLICY

Came across a text file while I was cleaning up files and defragging my hard disk, which is the text of the alliance agreement between the above clans.  The date on the text file is well over a year old, so this can obviously be considered 'old' data but figured it would interest some of you ;)

[~SaS~][Zen][Pond][-TL-] PACT - POLICY

By being part of this pact, the involved clans have agreed with the content of this document.
The goal of this pact is to benefit all involved clans, therefore we have set up the following rules that apply to all members of the involved clans.

Outlands

Members of the involved clans will not attack / kill eachother in the Outlands. The is the most important and main idea behind our alliance.
This enables us to control the outlands, and organise mining parties frequently.

* Hitting by accident
Because of the rapid movement in the Outlands, it frequently happens that allied players hit eachother by accident.
We ask everyone to assess those situations and don't take it as an offence if you get hit accidently.
At the same time we ask the Warriors to be careful when hunting, and not to just click whenever someone appears.

* Drops

Notice that this goes only for loot of value, not for a few hundred hp or some armour sets. Those can be kept by whoever picks them up.
Those rules apply when there are PK'ers of our clans active in the Outlands, and no special agreements on drops have been made between them.

The general rule when it comes to killing players in OL is:

The killer gets the loot.
Other players that pick up part of the loot (for whatever reason, e.g. that there are more hostile PK'ers in OL) should return it to the killer.

However, there are a few "exceptions" to this rule.

1. There are 2 (or more) players who all did their fair share of the damage.

For example:

2008-07-04 16:05:34 nooblet(30) did 0 damage to Immortal_pker. Immortal_pker had 20 HP left.
Immortal_pker(25) attacked nooblet, and did 10 damage. nooblet had 0 HP left.

2008-07-04 16:05:34 nooblet(30) did 3 damage to Killruna. Killruna had 31 HP left.
Killruna(43) attacked nooblet, and did 8 damage. nooblet had 10 HP left.

2008-07-04 16:05:34 nooblet(30) did 0 damage to Immortal_pker. Immortal_pker had 20 HP left.
Immortal_pker(25) attacked nooblet, and did 4 damage. nooblet had 18 HP left.

2008-07-04 16:05:34 nooblet(30) did 2 damage to Killruna. Killruna had 34 HP left.
Killruna(43) attacked nooblet, and did 7 damage. nooblet had 22 HP left.

In this case, the loot should be divided equally amongst the involved PK'ers.

2. Kill "stealing".

If one PK'er has been doing most of the damage, and another one comes in and finishes the target off, the loot should be given to one who actually did the work.
This rule applies only if the initial attacker was still chasing the target at the time the other PK'er finished him off.

*NOTE: would any disagreements about drops occur, contact your clanleader and it will be sorted out. Do NOT under any circumstance start flaming via player messages and certainly not in public chat.

Dieing

If a member of of our pact dies (it does not matter how), and a player of the involved clans manages to retrieve the stuff, the player has the obligation to return it to it's respective owner.
To avoid misunderstandings, we strongly recommend that if a situation like this occurs, the involved players contact their clanleader/council and settle it from there.

Thieving
Members of the involved clan will not thieve eachother.
This means that they will not:

A - Thieve shops / shop gold of players from the involved clans.
B - Thieve players from the involved clans.

*Exceptions to rule B
- Thieving guild jobs. The player doing the job should notify the target in time, and return any gold that was stolen in case he or she thieved succesfully.
- The player does not mind being thieved, but this should be self evident.
- Thieving someone to leave Arch cave 3 or 4. Again, any stolen gp should be returned to it's owner.

General 'manners'

To keep this pact alive, we will need cooperation of all members. This won't work if players of this pact are arguing all the time.
Therefore We ask everyone to let personal arguments rest for the benefit of not only your own clan, but for the benefit of all clans.

Our alliance and publicity

We do not want our alliance to be publically known. However, due to mining parties (and maybe other situations) eventually players will notice something.
Therefore we ask you NOT to confirm that our clans have an alliance. Let the other clans figure it out on their own.
Even when other players notice something, don't go into it.

Obviously as myself and others had this very document, no guessing was required.  It makes me wonder the reasons I didn't post this when I first got it!
