Effects of the Syrnia Christmas

Now that Party island has closed, its time to reflect on the affect it has had on Syrnia.

Players who were not interested in the Party island activities got their favourite working spot pretty much to themselves so had a low timer which meant they would have got more xp than normal.

In the past Santa hats were pretty rare so players would, and did, pay high prices for them. With there being more in circulation now, their value has dropped dramaticaly.

Due to being given a choice of present by Santa, many chose gems and Kanzo teleport orbs.

This has caused the cost of Kanzo orbs to drop down from around 7k gold to around 4k/5k each. While many will keep their orbs for travel to Kanzo later in the game, many have been sold to regular travellers who took advantage of the cheap prices. I expect the prices will slowly increase back up to 7k each as they are used and the numbers of them in circulation goes down.

Gems are also in abundance as players chose gems from santa in the hope of selling them. The prices are slightly down due to the amount of them on the market, but as with the orbs in time the prices will settle down to their usual prices. If you need money now, sell your gems, otherwise keep hold of them until the market returns to normal prices.

Santa hats have no use but many players will keep theirs and maybe start their own museum type shop. These along with Elven shoes, snowmen and snowballs make a perfect start to a collection :)
