A reader of the blog suggested a shoutbox would be nice here so one has been added!
Edit: Im trying a few shoutboxes out until I find one that looks ok and has a decent set of features.

If you don't like the smaller boxes that the one you are featuring, there is a really nice and clean one on a blog called Hip Hop is Read (not intending to hype that page), but there comment box is nice.
I had a look at that shoutbox and it looked good, but unless you pay a monthly fee you get a greatly reduced feature set. Some others offer better admin options so I will try a few out before settling on one.
Thanks for pointing that one out, made me realise I may not have chosen the best one I could get :)
I was completely oblivious to the pay part of that Comment Box. I think there is a great number of the little features that would be worth looking over from that site and perhaps nabbing a few. I recall that you were looking for ideas to enhance your site.
